Portland Review is excited to announce its recent transition to Portland State University’s English Department. As of 2017, the Review will be produced by graduate students in the creative writing and publishing programs, and to celebrate our new partnership, we are redesigning and relaunching the journal. The Spring 2017 issue will feature work by major contemporary writers such as Martha Grover, Joanna Klink, Margaret Malone, Kevin Sampsell, Ed Skoog, Alexis Smith, and Matthew Zapruder, as well as an interview with Ursula K. Le Guin and work by new and emerging authors. The upcoming issue promises to be fantastic, and Portland Review‘s editors are very pleased to see the journal housed in the PSU English Department.
Portland Review has been publishing exceptional local and international writing and art since 1956. Past contributors include Brian Doyle, Keith Flynn, Tess Gallagher, Christopher Howell, Richard Hugo, David Ignatow, William Kittredge, Yusef Komunyakaa, Valzhyna Mort, Lance Olsen, Peter Sears, William Stafford, Primus St. John, Brian Turner, and Lidia Yuknavitch.
