On February 15, 2014, Portland State University’s master’s of publishing program held its annual publishing conference, Write to Publish. Attendees sat in on panels and workshops to learn about the ins and outs of the publishing process from local and esteemed writers, agents, and publishers. This year’s theme was The New Adult Revolution, which focused on defining New Adult as well as how to market a genre still in its infancy.
Portland Review was on hand as well to promote the Fall 2013 issue, sell its remaining back issues, and discuss the upcoming Winter 2014 issue with interested parties. Though we are not accepting fiction submissions at this time, it is always satisfying to meet writers who wish to submit something with us.
This coming week, we will be attending the AWP Conference in Seattle and could not be more excited to connect with readers, writers, and publishers from around the country. If you are in the area, we hope to see you there!
