Will Cole is a queer, transgender man living in Maryland with his husband. He is the birthing parent to an adult son. He teaches LGBTQ health in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is enrolled in the Johns Hopkins University M.A. in Writing program. His essay in Open Secrets was nominated for a 2026 Pushcart Prize. His work also appears in The Science Writer, Jarnal, Welter, Baltimore Fishbowl, and Another Jane Pratt Thing.
