Winter 2013 Call For Submissions

Attention Poets! Artists! Writers!

Portland Review is now reading for our Winter 2013 issue. This issue will focus primarily on poetry, artwork, flash-fiction, and flash nonfiction fitting the theme of “honoring the past.” This will be our feature issue for both poetry and artwork. We’re hoping to additionally run a series of broadsides showcasing some of this work. While the central focus of the issue will be poetry and art on the theme of honoring the past, we are always on the lookout for work in all genres to publish on our website: portlandreview.org.

We expect to release the Winter issue at the end of February, 2014. To be considered for the print issue, your submission must be received (via Submittable) by December 31st, at the very latest. Notification of acceptance for this issue will come by mid-January.

Poets, artists, and authors whose work is selected for the issue will receive one complimentary copy, a discount on additional copies, and our undying gratitude.

Portland Review does not publish unsolicited, previously published work. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable. Terrestrial mail and email submissions will not be read.

Please see the submission guidelines on our Submittable for more details.

We look forward to reading your submissions.

Con Mucho Gusto,
